A Dream Come True

So here I was on a Monday evening chatting with my homeboy Andrew and we came across the topic of law schools. We both agreed that a response from a law school such as the one on this blog would be a dream come true. Here it is, my acceptance to law school:

"Hello Mr. Ali. Nice to meet you on such
short notice. You'd be happy to find out that we've accepted you into our
fast track program at Notre Dame. Sadly, we won't be able to pay your tuition,
however we would be more than willing to offer you weed and bitches. Would
you be willing to accept this proposal?"

SPRING BREAK!

...or at least half way into it.

Spring break had started a while back for me. The better part of it goes by with me meditating and thinking about the world...it's been a dull week. For the past week, I've been waking up at around 9ish to 10am. Those who know me in real life can vouche that that in itself is quite an accomplishment for the Don Pakistino. I never woke up that early for school...why should I wake up that early for break?

But why bother waking up so early when nobody is at home? Everybody in my household is either at work or in school. My nigga Dub Dub W is at school too - which leaves nobody for me to talk to - let alone to interact with! Today was different...I woke up at 3 pm and I'm proud of it - my parents weren't.

My plan for tomorrow? I don't want to detail my life out to you cats but as ya'll know its a friday and I finna go party with my homeboys and get ready to dump on some foos!! haha......maybe not.

Turnin' 21 soon folks...days are going by fast.

The Boondocks

I'm sure you've seen the countless ads of this cartoon on billboards and CTA buses.

This has to be the best cartoon series, asides from Family Guy, on TV right now. I'm not much into cartoons but this was hilarious. Not only does each episode make shots at pop culture, but it also has some great political commentary.

It features the following:

Huey, the main character. Pictured here. Shows the intellectual side of things and always grabs the attention of people by his remarks. This dude can easily intellectually kick Ann Coulter's ass...

Riley, his brother, who is on the hiphop/ghetto side. Most of the time he's used to take shots at the mainstream culture.

Grandpa

And who can forget Uncle Ruckus? This dude's really funny and is the personification of an Uncle Tom. Very similar to that dude Irshad Manji.

Ann Coulter Coming To Loyola!

Ann-Orexic starin' at Son Doolah's Doolah
March 23rd. Mundeline Auditorium. Loyola University. Ann Coulter.

Yes indeedy, Coulter herself will be speaking to Loyola students and faculty. The questions, of course, will be pre-screened so that nobody gets an opportunity to refute her arguments or as my homie put it - "make her feel like an idiot."

I've read tons of her articles and wanted to respond on my blog - but I was holding back. Does anybody even take this whackjob seriously? I just got this news recently and I'm going to post more of my thoughts in the coming days leading up to this event.

Son Doolah Back At It Again

I know this piece of news hasn't been going around much lately but I returned to the studio on Feb 11 to record a freestyle. Needless to say, it went actually pretty bad and theres very few directions that I can point the blame haha. With that said though, I'm gonna hit the studio back and record an awesome track which is gonna get some heads noddin' and raise a few eyebrows. In other words, some suckas are gonna get verbally smacked on record and I DARE them to come at me with a diss track....I DARE THEM! They know who they are....wait till the track come out.

Asides from just battlin' and killin' cats on record, I'm gonna be doing a bunch of club tracks as well. Nah man, I ain't crossed over - my kids gotta eat u know....

Oh yeah, before I forget. I'm lookin' for somebody to fix up the Professor Ali website. That site been costin' me money every month and I wanna put my mixtapes on it plus the new ish I been workin' on.

Peace

From the Overman Himself...

I know there has not been any update in a long time and I know that most people either don't know about this page or just find it boring. Most people that do know about this page are forced to read it through some sort of relationship with me either being friend, foe, or probably just family. If you fit into one of those categories, I thank you highly.

I'm not on campus as much as I would like to be. I'm only on campus on MWFs and Tuesdays and Thursdays are all work. Outside of class, I've got a bunch of stuff underway. If you are one of those few elites that have a head's up from me, then you know its going to be crazy.

This site. What can I say about this blog? I heard from a colleague of mine that politicians actually do read these blogs through the press secretaries that scour the internet for any entries regarding their respective office holders. I think this is interesting and I think that is a good direction for the site. Not only do I get to educate all you fools but also make my own splash in the political realm because politicians might read my entries to get an head's up on what their constituents and critics think. So here's to a start:

Senator Obama - I personally thought it was great to see you and McCain
working together on a common goal. It was a great power move and
indeed McCain has a great following amongst some Republicans and alot of
Democrats. Ah yes, your appearence on the
Daily Show with Jon
Stewart
was great.

School Finna Start

I woke up to a realization that I got to be back in school on the 17th...
